Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye
have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for)
either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded):
but if it had been Allah.s Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them
(Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are
slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost. Soon will He guide them and
improve their condition, And admit them to the Garden (Paradise) which He has announced
for them.
[Surah 47:4-6]  Those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, and are then
slain or die,- On them will Allah bestow verily a goodly Provision: Truly Allah is He Who
bestows the best provision.
 [Surah 22:58]

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual
immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.  But now you
must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander,
and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken
off your old self with its practices (
Injil, Colossians 3:5-9)

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The
life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and
gave himself for me.  (
Injil, Galatians 2:20)

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and
desires.  (
Injil, Galatians 5:24)

We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t
you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into
INTO DEATH in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the
glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be
united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was
crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that
we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set
free from sin.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we
know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no
longer has mastery over him.  The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but
the life he lives, he lives to God.

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil
desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness,
but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to
life.  (
Injil, Romans 6:2-13)

Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him
through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.  When
you were dead in your sins, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our
(Injil, Colossians 2:12-13)

“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the
forgiveness of your sins."  (
Injil, Acts 2:38)

Baptism now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the
pledge of a clear conscience toward God.  (
Injil, I Peter 3:21)
