JESUS HAD TO
AND COME BACK TO LIFE
ADAM, THE FIRST MAN ~ PHYSICAL & SINFUL:
[Genesis 3:3, 19, 22]
God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must
not touch it, or you will DIE’”
To Adam God said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I
commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until
you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will
And the LORD God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He
must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”
MANKIND ~ PHYSICAL & SINFUL THROUGH ADAM:
[Romans 1:18, 21, 29-32]
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth
by their wickedness. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God
nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are
full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent,
arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no
understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that
those who do such things DESERVE DEATH, they not only continue to do these very things but
also approve of those who practice them.
[Romans 3:10-12, 23] THERE IS NO ONE RIGHTEOUS, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one
who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. ALL HAVE SINNED
AND FALL SHORT of the [sinless] glory of God,
ABRAHAM, FATHER OF FAITH, NOT WORKS
[Romans 4:1-5, 16, 23-25]
What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, discovered in this matter? IF,
in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. What
does Scripture say? “Abraham believed [had faith in] God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who
does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.
Therefore, the promise comes by faith (not works), so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed
to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of
Abraham. He is the father of us all.
The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit
righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was
delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
JESUS, THE SECOND ADAM ~ SPIRITUAL & SINLESS
QUR'AN SURAH 19:19 ~ (The angel) said (to Miriam): "I am a messenger from your Lord, (to announce)
to you the gift of a righteous son [Jesus)."
[Romans 5:6-8,12,14-15, 18-19, 21]
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will
anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God
demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died (physically and spiritually)
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man [Adam], and
DEATH through SIN, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned
Nevertheless, DEATH reigned from the time of Adam...even over those who did not sin by breaking a
command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.
But the GIFT is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man [Adam], how much
more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the
Consequently, just as [Adam's] one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one
righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man
the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man [Jesus] the many will
be made righteous.
So that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.
[II Corinthians 5:20b-21; I Peter 2:21,22,24]
We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him [Jesus] who had no sin to be sin
for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.....To this you were called,
because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. “He
committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.” “He himself [Jesus] bore our sins” in his body
on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been
[I Corinthians 15:20-22, 45,47-49]
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep (died). For since
DEATH came through a man [Adam], the resurrection of the dead comes also
through a man. For as in Adam all DIE, so in Christ all will be made
So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a LIFE-giving spirit.
The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. As was the earthly
man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are
of heaven. And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man [Adam], so shall we bear
the image of the heavenly man [Jesus].
MANKIND SPIRITUAL & SINLESS THROUGH JESUS:
Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his
DEATH? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into DEATH in order that, just as
Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new LIFE.
For if we have been united with him in a DEATH like his, we will certainly also be united with
him in a RESURRECTION like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the
body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin —
because anyone who has died has been set FREE from sin.
|The gospel God promised beforehand
through his prophets
in the Holy Scriptures
regarding his Son who,
as to his human nature was a descendant of David,
and who through the [Holy] Spirit of holiness
was declared with power [miraculously]
to be the Son of God
by his resurrection from the dead:
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire;
the lake of fire is the second death.
GOD HAD TO BE MANIFEST IN A HUMAN BODY
SO HE COULD DIE
AND COME BACK TO LIFE,
THUS CONQUERING DEATH FOR US
|Jesus said to her, '"I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.'"
Death has been swallowed up in victory!
Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?
Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
